Portable Aluminum Alloy Davits are ideally suited for buildings where Cradle is to be rigged from roof level instead of ground level. They are ideally suited for India specially considering our very low labor costs. Davits also can be mounted on parapet or Roof Slab. For parapet mounting we require 1200 high & 200mm thick RCC parapet from slab level and a clear space of 800mm from the top edge roof slab. Sockets will be installed on the parapet to hold these Davits.
For Roof Mounting Davits dowels has to be raised on the roof while casting slab. Holding down units will be installed in these locations pedestals will be cast on this. Davits will be mounted on sockets on these pedestals.
Important features are:
- Constructed out of special Aluminum Alloy. Light in weight but strong.
- Easily erected by sliding them into Davit Sockets Already fixed on the parapet walls.
- Provided with Lifting Handles and Candy wheels for transport on the roof
- Provided with Safety Harness Anchoring Point.
- Davit sockets have to be fixed every two meters around perimeter of the building.
- Easily transferred from one location to another by one window cleaner.
- They can be re-erected in matter of seconds.
- Pair of Davits are capable of carrying weight of Cradle plus 180 K.G. which is two persons weighing 70 K.G. each plus 40 K.G. additional load.
- Since Davits are mounted on sockets fixed to the Parapet, the walls have to be load-bearing type.
